"The Whale," as locals fondly call it, has been locally owned and operated since the doors opened in 1988. A lively, friendly blend of visitors and locals, it is kid friendly by day and a hot spot for fun at night.
We serve generous portions, fresh local seafood, our signature fried clams (try them!), and the best lobster rolls and chowder in town. Our delicious food is only part of the reason for our success. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and when you walk into the Thirsty Whale you will feel at right at home. We serve food 7 days a week until 10 PM and our late night menu and cocktails until 1 AM.
The Whale is also kid-friendly! While we do not have a kids' menu, we do offer kid friendly options such as chicken fingers, fish and chips, grilled cheese, burgers and more. All selections come with a choice of either french fries, coleslaw or pasta salad. Crayons and coloring sheets are always on hand.
